To automate the assembly of wires, contacts and connectors is technically challenging: large tolerances must be compensated, high quality requirements must be met and variants must be flexibly supported. The presentation addresses technological advances that enable flexible and even economical automation using robots, 2D/3D cameras, laser scanners and/or force-torque sensors. It will conclude with a report on fully automated cycle time optimization in production."
