Volumetric metering valve sets new standards for dispensing micro-volumes
With the new volumetric shot valve from DOPAG, even the smallest amounts of grease or oil can be dispensed extremely precisely and quickly. Up to 30 dispenses per second are possible, with a dosing accuracy of better than ± 2%. The dosing range is between 0.001 and 0.048 ml. The valve dispenses contact-free, and both dot and bead application are possible. This makes it ideal for all industrial applications where exact and reproducible results are essential.
Thanks to its design for a gentle operating pressure of under 13 bar, mechanical wear is drastically reduced. The result is a service life of up to 50 million identical, leak-free dispenses. Comparable pressure-time-controlled valves have a 30 percent shorter service life, as they typically operate in pressure ranges above 20 bar. At the same time, the gentle operating pressure reduces the separation of base oil and thickener in the lubricant, which often leads to errors when applying very small amounts. Thanks to the maintenance-friendly design, wear parts can be replaced quickly and easily without having to replace the entire system.
The volumetric dosing principle ensures that the shot valve operates largely independently of external factors such as temperature, pressure, or viscosity fluctuations. As a result, additional system components such as a second material pressure-reducing valve or a heater can often be omitted. This not only reduces the complexity of the system but also lowers maintenance effort and susceptibility to errors.
