Greater Efficiency and More Added Value: Motek/Bondexpo Relaunching in 2026

Bondexpo Internationale Fachmesse für Klebtechnologie

As of 2026, the Motek international trade fair for automation in production and assembly will be held once every two years, together with the Bondexpo international trade fair for bonding technology. The next traditional industry meet will take place in Stuttgart from the 6th through the 8th of October, 2026. Held once every two years in the future in the even-numbered years with a streamlined three-day format, this complementary autumn event provides all participants with significantly increased efficiency and benefits. With its portfolio of topics covering the entire process chain, manufacturing companies will discover practical solutions for future-proof automation.

The 43rd Motek international trade fair for automation in production and assembly will take place in Stuttgart alongside the 18th Bondexpo international trade fair for bonding technology from the 6th through the 8th of October, 2026. The traditional trade fair duo is thus switching to a two-year cycle in the even-numbered years. “This decision reflects the wishes of many exhibitors, who would prefer the trade fair to be held once every two years. The event scheduled for 2025 has been postponed until next year,” reports Rainer Bachert, project manager at trade fair promoters P. E. Schall. “The time-tested trade fair duo, now with new scheduling and a duration of three days from Tuesday to Thursday, provides the manufacturing industries with its customary, invaluable business platform while also offering greater efficiency,” continues Bachert. Exhibitors and expert visitors benefit from the concise, relevant thematic structure covering the entire value chain for industrial production. A comprehensive supplementary programme complements a visit to the trade fair and offers added value for establishing new contacts as well. A further advantage is offered by the trade fair venue in Stuttgart which is centrally located, easily accessible and boasts unique international, national and regional travel connections.

Cooperation with VISION Sets New Benchmarks for Greater Efficiency and Cost-Effectiveness

Motek/Bondexpo covers the complete process chain for economical production and assembly automation – from components and assemblies as well as subsystems to complete systems. The trade fair’s target group is manufacturing companies from all sectors. Anyone who wants to automate a process – for example in the fields of mechanical engineering, equipment and plant engineering, automotive engineering and vehicle construction, sheet metal processing, plastics processing, metalworking and processing, woodworking, electronics and electrical engineering, laboratory automation, healthcare and medical technology – will find the right components and solutions at Motek/Bondexpo. The industry’s autumn highlight will cooperate closely with VISION, the international trade fair for machine vision, for the first time in 2026. Both events will take place at the same time at the same location and are open to all visitors with a joint ticket. “Exhibitors and trade visitors alike will benefit from Motek/Bondexpo taking place at the same time and in the same place as VISION,” emphasizes Rainer Bachert. “The optimized use of resources and bundled communication results in greater impact when addressing target groups and reaching visitors. Thanks to the high relevance of the topics of both leading trade fairs for everyday industrial life, the two events will complement each other perfectly with their practical benefits.”

Effective Networking, a Direct Transfer of Knowledge and Revamped Exhibition Packages

“We’re creating new, more flexible participation options for 2026 with individual booths or combined exhibition packages,” says the project manager. The time-tested Startup Area is also in preparation once again, as well as a thematically focused supplementary programme matched ideally to the target group, which will complement a successful visit to the trade fair, support networking and generate new business contacts. This includes, for example, a presentation forum, a technical congress and other platforms that support the transfer of knowledge to industrial practice. “The focus on topics covering the entire value chain in manufacturing, the ideal trade fair location at the heart of one of Europe’s strongest economic regions and the challenge of implementing sustainable and efficient automation are unbeatable arguments in favour of the time-tested Motek/Bondexpo industry platform from 6 to 8 October 2026, for which we would like to extend our cordial invitation already today,” says Bachert.
