Motek/Bondexpo and VISION 2026: Beneficial Synergies for Manufacturing Companies

Bondexpo Internationale Fachmesse für Klebtechnologie Motek 2024 126 scaled uai

The autumn technology trade fairs in Stuttgart promise beneficial synergies for industrial production companies from 6 to 8 October 2026: The 43rd Motek international trade fair for automation in production and assembly will take place alongside the 18th Bondexpo international trade fair for bonding technology at the same time as VISION. By holding VISION and Motek/Bondexpo simultaneously, the trade fair promoters are creating a platform that opens up new opportunities for innovation and networking for exhibitors as well as visitors.

Messe Stuttgart – as the organisers of VISION 2026 – and P. E. Schall – as the organisers of the Motek/Bondexpo trade fair duo – are providing the manufacturing industries with genuine added value by running both events at the same time, in the same place. These two world-class technical events – VISION, the hot spot for image processing, and Motek/Bondexpo, one of the leading automation trade fairs – complement each other perfectly both technically and thematically. And thus the exhibition halls in Stuttgart will serve as a hub for integration and collaborative technological innovation at the beginning of October 2026. “Combining Motek/Bondexpo and VISION will be a win-win situation for both sectors,” emphasises Bettina Schall, managing director of P. E. Schall. “Thanks to the high levels of relevance of the topics addressed by both leading trade fairs for day-to-day industrial operations, the two events will complement each other perfectly with their practical benefits. Exhibitors and visitors will benefit from minimal legwork, new business contacts and an inspiring exchange of ideas. This generates valuable impetus for the entire industry.”

Focus on Networking, Interaction and Far-Reaching Synergies

As a proven business platform, Motek/Bondexpo will set new benchmarks with sustainable, practical solutions for the industrial manufacturing sector. This year, automation specialists will present holistic solutions to a specific task involving the interaction of different system functions within the framework of a competition in the “Industrial Interactive Zone”. The interactive platform will be the focus of the three-day autumn event, making it possible for expert visitors to experience the various aspects of process integration, rapid commissioning and flexible format changeovers first-hand. The goal of the participatory event is to demonstrate the possibilities of sustainable automation in industrial production, with a focus on user benefits. Key competition factors include rapid commissioning of the competing systems and clever implementation of the automation task. The idea is to make it plainly evident that automation solutions can be easily implemented if they come from a single source and are designed as integrated systems. On the basis of examples, competing participants should demonstrate how the smooth interaction of different functionalities within a system can be achieved. In addition to VISION and Motek/Bondexpo, EFX (Expo for Electronics Manufacturing) and Quantum Effects will also take place at the same time. EFX is a new industry event for electronics manufacturing, showcasing trends and technologies related to the production of electronic components. As a trade fair and congress for quantum technologies, Quantum Effects bridges the gap between science, startups and industry. It provides information regarding quantum technologies in Europe and promotes the development of a European ecosystem. The simultaneous staging of four high-profile technology trade fairs provides significant impetus for the entire region and strengthens its international competitiveness. Bringing these four trade fairs together at a single location will make Stuttgart a meeting place for decision-makers, design engineers and visionaries from all over the world. The advantages are obvious: exhibitors and expert visitors benefit from optimised use of resources, new contacts, extensive target group appeal and bundled communication; a single ticket grants admission to all four events.
